Beautiful setting & great food

Pros: The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. Staff very friendly! Good choice of restaurants. 2 fine dining and 1 more casual bar/lounge. 10 minutes drive to Genk Central. Room sizes were good and very clean! Great channel options on the tv also!

Cons: As we were checking out we were quite shocked to find that we needed to pay a service fee and city tax... which was pretty expensive. €78 euros! Almost what we paid for the room! So in essence it made the room price nearly double. I feel we should have been made aware of this on booking.com or by to hotel prior to arrival or even on arrival!

Charming and warm atmosphere in the outskirts of Genk

Pros: Surprises for the dogs in the room, nice atmostphere in the hotel, great service and unique charm and decor. Had dinner at the bar and the food was delicious!

Cons: Breakfast seemed a bit overprice so we did not try it, maybe next time.

Pros: Clean rooms and swimming pool was a welcome bonus (water could be somewhat warmer at the end of November when we stayed). Clean towels at the pool and clean changing rooms. Pool table. Possibility to use the pool after checkout. Private parking.

Cons: Not very welcoming reception staff, the person checking us in seemed annoyed with us for not having read our notes in the booking. I had booked 3 rooms - 2 standard and 1 suite with extra bed (at double the cost of standard room) - just to have the hotel charge for the extra bed for 3-year old staying with the parents in the suite. After complaning about this at check out, this extra charge was luckily refunded. Breakfast is quite overpriced for what you get - nothing is made fresh to order but food is sitting in the heated containers. 25 euros pp also had to be paid for a kid who eats 1 pancake during breakfast... Wanted to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, which had a fixed game menu for 100 euros pp which was the only thing you were allowed to eat, exception could be made for kids only. Some flexibitliy would have been appreciated and could go a long way...

Pros: Moonstone restaurant, my room, the swimming pool, the golf, loved it all. All really good value for money

Cons: Please clean / rinse the Nespresso machines in the rooms. Run them without a coffee capsule Maybe consider an Aircon for the bar

Very good facilities, but really noisy rooms…

Pros: Really nice location and facilities: golf, swimming pool, gym, and snooker all perfect.

Cons: Unfortunately the rooms are really noisy, if your neighbour makes a call you can clearly follow the conversation or when they put on their tv then it sounds like your own tv in the room is on.

Generally a beautiful stay other than not very accesible public transport

Pros: The property is beautiful, not too far from the center, and so luxurious. The staff is very helpful, and while the breakfast is higher in price than average, it is worth it, as you can tell it is fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. We definitely would come again.

Cons: The bus on public holidays comes once an hour, so it is not the most accessible place to get to without a car, and you have to cross a busy road to get to the accommodation. This meant we weren't able to explore Genk at night not to have to cross the busy road with no side-walks when cars wont see us properly.

Pros: Nice and modern hotel on a beautiful estate. Very friendly front desk staff.

Pros: Perfect hotel, been here twice now, always over the top great
