Quite satisfactory overall apart from the bad coffee. The coffee at breakfast was fine.

Pros: Customer friendly and efficient. The room was fine and the breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was OK but not exceptional.

Cons: I was served a bad coffee at the bar. The barista gave me a cup with some ground coffee in it and a separate little jug of water. After pouring the hot water the coffee was all gritty and I just could not drink it. You do not serve coffee like that. You brew the coffee properly first and then serve it.

Pros: Great hotel with a good location. Rooms were clean and comfy. Staff helpful and friendly.

Cons: The room was a bit warm and the aircon was not good

Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Good food. Handy location for travellers

Pros: The room was spacious and well laid out. Very comprehensive choice at breakfast (which is available from 06:30, great for early travellers). The restaurant had a varied menu. Staff were very helpful.

Cons: There is no shower head to hold to wash your entire body comfortably in the shower.

Here wasn't my first choice, that being full, but here is now first choice for future visits.

Pros: Not far from railway station. Stunning breakfast. Has extensive restaurant/bistro/bar complex, with an unexpected menu of quality Belgian beers. Commendable reuse of historic building.

Cons: Not hotel's problem, but the walk from station isn't far but not that pleasant, partly due to parked cars and this part of Verviers seems 99% dominated by cars, to the detriment of pedestrians. Although beer list is good, the menu data is pathetic, with no details on the pedigree/style/strength of the beers. Some of the 'local' beers are not, but brewed distant from Verviers in Hainaut province.
