Where centuries old history meets modern comfort

Pros: The place is stunning, centuries old farm with modern interiors. Loved it. Well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, fireplace, nice courtyard, sheep, goats, cats, horses, ponds and view to the castle. Few minutes from Aachen, its spa and Christmas markets. We asked for late check-in and got self-checking and we also got wood for fireplace. Totally recommend, its a really really nice piece of the world and very friendly host.

Cons: The place is for 4 people, but we could not find a photo of the bed arrangements. Eventually we assumed, that the sofa is foldable, so 2 people sleeping in the living room and 2 people in the bedroom. Turned out we were all 4 in the bedroom, the chairs were foldable, but not comfortable. Mr. Olivier brought us extra mattress, thank you! Hope my photos will help to other travellers

Great for families looking for some time out in a calm place!

Pros: The rural location, the animals and the facilities, including table tennis and basketball were great!

Perfect nature retreat

Pros: The views are fantastic around the property with pond right outside rhe window. Very spacious garden for the dogs to utilise with large outside dining area / patio. Very well maintained. Stone floors throughout is really nice its quite impossible to think this is converted stables until you are outside. The host Olivier was great when we arrived and gave us our 5 minute intro tour to the place. There is a butcher 100m up the road beside a castle with some fantastic products. The hiking all around is fantastic and if you are into such things there is a lovely station's of the cross garden at Moresnet-chapple

Cons: Small things. There was no dishwasher tablets when we arrived. The dishwasher doesn't have cutlery cage which I found odd and the brand new shower is a bit on the small side. The host told us he ordered the wrong one and will be replacing it very soon.

Idyllic retreat from city life in the heart of the Belgian countryside.

Pros: The accommodation was spacious, very clean. It is very well equipped. The location is beautiful with stunning views. The quiet is a pleasant change from the city. If you enjoy nature and exploring the countryside, this place is perfect. With car you have the bonus of being near charming small towns and villages. We went to Leuven for the day, it was lovely and is well the hours drive there. To come back to Gites des etangs a Montzen was wonderful. Thank you to our host.

Pros: Le grand calme, le type de bâtiment rural et son adaptation en plusieurs logements, le grand lit, la situation géographique.

Cons: La nécessité de chercher un mode d´emploi, trouvé dans un meuble de cuisine, pour nous débrouiller avec le fonctionnement de plusieurs appareils : plaques de cuisine et micro-ondes, et même télévision. L'absence d´un éclairage suffisant pour lire dans le divan.

Pros: Propriétaire super chaleureux et vraiment arrangeant

Pros: Accueil cordial, chiens acceptés, informations sur les possibilités de balades aux alentours. Équipement de la cuisine top.

Pros: Ruim huis van alles voorzien. Fantastische ligging om van daaruit te fietsen en te wandelen.

Es war ein erholsamer, ruhiger Aufenthalt, so wie erhofft.

Pros: Die Lage entsprach meiner Erwartung. Sehr ruhig,landschaftlich sehr schön, so Ortsnah, daß man die ausreichenden Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in ca 25 Minuten einer Richtung zu Fuß erreichen konnte.

Cons: Gab keien Beanstandung

Für unseren kurzen Wochenendaufenthalt optimal, sehr gerne wieder.

Pros: Sehr idyllisch gelegen, wunderschöne ländliche Umgebung. Der Gastgeber hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen.

Cons: ...das einzige kleine Manko war, dass wir Tisch und Stühle auf der Terrasse vor Benutzung säubern mussten.
